We understand that there is apprehension when it comes to working with Content Creators, but we want to reassure you that it can be a great experience and offer value.
We’ve been working with Content Creators for many years now, and we’ve spent time learning from previous experiences to find what works best.
Content Creator media is lifestyle-driven and allows an audience to really get a feel of what it would be like to stay at your property. We believe this type of media is invaluable in marketing a holiday rental. Generally, working with a Content Creator is also more cost-effective than hiring a professional film team and models.

Different from an Influencer, a Content Creator not only shares their experience with their online audience, but they also create and share beautiful media for us to use in the Marketing of your listing.
We’ve learnt from past experiences and found what works best for us and our Partners. We vet each Content Creator, and below are some of the metrics we look at to ensure they are a good fit for Nox and our brand:
- audience location – does their audience live in a country that typically visits Cape Town
- audience age – are the audience likely to be the decision-makers in planning a trip to Cape Town
- the Creators previous work – does their aesthetic match ours
- engagement – are their audience engaged and looking for travel advice and inspiration
Once we’ve vetted and found the Content Creator to be a good fit, we will search for a listing that matches their request. Below are our standard booking guidelines:
- no bookings over peak season
- made within 2-weeks or arrival date
- or back-to-back with an existing booking
- or in gap-filler dates where the gap is smaller than the minimum stay requirement
No, we do not contact you to request a stay if you have agreed to complimentary stays in your contract.

No, once dates have been confirmed with a Content Creator, their stay cannot be cancelled.
While we generally like to work on a Trade-exchange basis, most Creators are now charging on top of the offer of free accommodation. Nox covers the Content Creator costs.
